*The NSW Department of Education is funding this course fee. You only need to pay the government-required administration fee or $164. You may be eligible to have this covered by DET as well so that your course is free.

If you are enrolling in two courses (e.g. TAA SoA plus the Workplace Assessor) you will need to pay two administration fees—$328. If you are claiming the exemption you can only claim for one of them (i.e. one DET exemption per year).

See if you are eligible for exemption from paying the $164:

Fee Exemptions
You may be eligible for an exemption from paying the NSW fee if:
a) you are of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; or
b) you are a client of a Teacher/Consultant for Students with Disabilities; or
c) you are currently receiving a Commonwealth benefit or allowance, such as:
  • Age Pension, Austudy, Carer Payment, Disability Support Pension,
  • Exceptional Circumstances Relief Payment, Family Tax Benefit Part A (maximum rate), Farm Help Income Support
  • Mature Age Allowance, Newstart Allowance, Parenting Payment (Single), Sickness Allowance, Special Benefit,
  • Veterans' Affairs Payments, Veterans' Children Education Scheme, Widow Allowance, Widow 'B' Pension, Wife Pension, Youth Allowance; or
d) you are currently the dependant child/spouse/partner of a recipient of an eligible benefit or allowance.

Note: All normal NSW TAFE conditions, fees and policies apply to this program.

To apply you will need to provide:

  • a completed and signed ACQ enrolment form (write the name of the program in the 'Grant/Funding Applying For' field.)
  • complete the fee exemption form (if you are applying for exemption of fees)
and if you are claiming the fee exemptions then you will need to email/fax/mail a copy of:
  • proof of identity (such as driver's licence, passport or birth certificate)
  • proof of confirmation of your eligibility

Recognition of Prior Learning: If you feel you may be able to gain credit exemptions for one or more modules, please contact the College for an initial discussion and RPL application. You will need to provide enough evidence to show that your knowledge/skills are current. RPL fees are paid prior to assessment:

  • $25 per module for formal credit transfers
  • $50 per module for non-formal life/experience assessments.
