International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE)
We
are a member of the ICDE, providing international recognition for
our distance education courses. ICDE is recognised by the United
Nations, and serves as the Global Membership Organisation in flexible,
distance and e-learning. It has been for many years an official
and active partner of UNESCO, working very closely on a day-to-day
basis with UNESCO Headquarters in Paris and regional UNESCO offices
around the world. ICDEs approach is built on a combination
of active engagement and expertise in the combined fields of Education
and ICT.

Our
sister institute in New Zealand carries the NZQA accreditation and
delivers a range of courses that specialise for the New Zealand
industry. Where Australian College QED (ACQ) and NZIBS provide the
same courses, mutual recognition applies.

The ACQ Diploma of Freelance Journalism and Diploma of Advanced
Freelance Journalism are formally recognised by Central Queensland
University (CQU). With successful completion you can apply for entry
into and have some advanced standing in CQU degrees, including Bachelor
of Arts (Journalism). These programs can be completed from home
in distance mode.
