Welcome to Christine’s world of Professional Editing, Proofreading and Publishing!

With over 20 years experience as an editor, including 12 years in-house at McGraw-Hill Australia and Murdoch Books as editor, senior editor and managing editor, Christine Eslick needs very little introduction.

Over the years Christine has developed a portfolio of skills and knowledge that places her at the top of the editorial list. Further to this, Christine has been able to branch into manuscript development and has also had the opportunity to delve into professional writing.

In recent years Christine has established her own freelance business and her range of impressive clients includes ABC Books, Historic Houses Trust of NSW, McGraw-Hill, Murdoch Books, Pascal Press and Hachette Livres.

Christine specialises in general non-fiction, educational books (secondary and tertiary), academic books and journal articles. With a background in archaeology and interests in Middle Eastern affairs, Christine is also able to undertake some particularly exciting, interesting and specialised projects.

“Becoming an editor has certainly opened up doors for me," says Christine. "I have a special interest in editing educational publications and rewriting specialist material. Book editing is an incredibly interesting job. It’s certainly never boring. There are a host of opportunities in publishing for people who are willing to learn and apply themselves."

Christine holds a BA (Hons), MA (Hons) and a PhD in Archaeology. Along with this Christine is a member of the Society of Editors (NSW) Inc.

This is a wonderful opportunity for students to be tutored by a professional industry editor.
