Welcome to Fiona's versatile world of Media and Multimedia! Fiona is an experienced radio and television journalist. She has worked as a producer and presenter with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), and hosted the networks weekly Out of Africa program. She began her media career with Channel Nine as a news producer on the Today Show. She soon moved to the Morning, Afternoon and Nightly bulletins where she was a producer and occasional reporter. Over the years Fiona has reported on major local and international stories, and she has produced for both news and special current affairs features. In 2009, Fiona was a finalist for the prestigious Walkley Foundation Young Journalist of the Year Award. She was nominated for her exposé on the use of child labour in chocolate production. Fiona has held guest slots on a number of lifestyle programs including Girl TV, Saturday Disney, About and Cheez TV. Fiona completed a degree in broadcast journalism from Charles Sturt University Bathurst, where she was the recipient of a full academic scholarship from Channel Nine. She is now in the process of completing a Master of International Relations through Macquarie University. In 2004, Fiona was appointed World Visions NSW Youth Ambassador. She has volunteered in Tanzania, Kenya, Fiji and India.
Coupled with this wealthy experience in media, Fiona possesses advanced video editing skills, website design with Dreamweaver, Photoshop editing, Final Cut Pro, Premier Pro and a stream of other multimedia applications.
