Welcome to Lesley’s world of editing, proofreading and publishing!

Lesley runs her own editing company called Birch Writing Solutions, which has loyal and returning clients in Australia and the UK.
She has long been passionate about good written English and the difference it can make in business, in learning and in life.

Prior to launching Birch Writing Solutions, she spent over ten years in the corporate world where, as national learning and development manager for a large insurance division, she created a quality assurance framework and national learning and development team that, together, ensured the efficient production of effective and professional training materials.

Lesley continues to work full time as an editor, but focuses solely on editing, tutoring and assessing within the training and education industry.
She chose the training industry because she believes that training materials must be conducive to the learning experience of the learner and she knew that she could have an impact on the level of excellence being achieved by training providers.

That’s why she values her role with ACQ: because as well as being able to commit to the College aims and vision, she can provide support, assistance and genuine understanding to students as they learn.

Lesley holds her Certificate IV Training and Assessment as well as other qualifications in editing and proofreading, psychology and French.
She is also a professional member of the NSW Society of Editors.
