Welcome to Peter’s colourful and highly popular world of professional photography!

Peter Endersbee is a professional photographer. His most recent exhibition in Rozelle, NSW, Pastis and Grappa: Travels Through France and Italy, An Exhibition of Photographs by Peter Endersbee received rave reviews for the collection of colour, and black and white works on display.

“I am passionate about photography,” says Peter.

Peter’s career began at the Flinders University of South Australia in the late 60’s where he studied Fine Art, Drama and Literature completing an Honours Degree in French Surrrealist & Absurd Drama, German Expressionism and pre-Shakespearean dramatic traditions such as the Italian Comedia-del-arte. His overseas trip one year ago was his first glimpse of Europe ‘in the flesh’.

In the eighties Peter cut his teeth as a visual arts practitioner in the Melbourne independent film & television industry (documentary and drama) before gaining entrance to Swinburne Film & Television School. This background led rather obliquely to still photography in the 90s. Peter’s love for photography is expressed through his work.

“In the mid 1990’s I became increasingly interested in transferring my knowledge of lighting to stills photography. In 2003 I travelled through France and Italy. I fell in love with the people and vistas of the regions, and enjoyed working with the softer and subtler European light.

All the colour images in my last exhibition were shot on medium format transparency film, and the black and white images on 35mm negative film. The majority of the black and white works were hand-printed on traditional fibre-based paper in my darkroom. The colour images are digitally printed on archival photographic paper.”

For the last seven years Peter has worked as a professional photographer in Sydney, operating his own studion and specialising in portraiture, corporate work, model portfolios, and photographic documenting of art works. His work can be seen in a range of publications, including Exclusive Properties magazine, Australian Photography (locations), The Masters of Bridal Couture, Studio magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Black & White, a variety of art publications, and in European biographies.

This is a truly stunning opportunity to be tutored by talented professional photographer. Peter’s insights into professional photography, and the support and guidance he gives to his students has earnt him high praise as a tutor.
